What we can do
for your staircase
We start with what your stairs actually need. The right solution depends on the condition of the wood and the result you want.
Renew the finish
We remove unstable coatings and prepare the surface. Opaque paint is often a practical way to give an older staircase an even, coherent finish.
Repair damaged areas
We fill damage and prepare the surface. We can reinforce balustrades where needed; replacement parts are assessed individually. We reduce squeaks where the structure allows, without promising to eliminate them completely.
Choose a new colour
Colour selection and a simple visualisation on your photo are included. More complex modelling is agreed and priced separately.
Preserve the natural wood grain
Varnish or wax oil can preserve visible grain. Restoring a translucent finish requires more preparation and usually costs more than an opaque repaint.

Plan and choose
We estimate a price range from photos. On site, we check details and agree the scope, shade and work plan.
Protect and sand
We cover passageways, floors, walls and furniture with protective sheeting and use dust extraction while sanding.
Repair and finish
We repair cracks and damage, prepare the surface and apply the chosen coating.
Check and hand over
We remove protection, collect waste, vacuum and clean any stray paint marks. We explain how to use your staircase while the finish cures.
Usually 3–5 days
Timing depends on the scope and condition. Stair use should be kept to an absolute minimum during the work.

For a simple single-colour repaint of a straight wooden staircase. Your final quote depends on its size, condition and chosen finish.
Materials priced separately
We purchase the materials and you pay against receipts. This is separate from the cost of labour.

Visits in Novi Sad
An assessment visit in Novi Sad is free. Travel outside the city is agreed separately.
Payments in stages
Smaller jobs: 50% at the start and 50% on completion. Larger jobs: thirds before starting, after sanding and at completion. Materials are paid for after purchase, before work begins. Written estimates and contracts are available on request.

A 3-year workmanship warranty
If the coating peels or wears improperly under normal use, we put it right. The warranty does not cover impact damage, scratches or damage caused by pets.

questions
Does the staircase need to be dismantled?
No, it does not. We restore the staircase in place, without dismantling or transporting it. We protect the floors, walls and furniture before carefully sanding, repairing damage and applying the finish.
Can we stay in the house?
Yes, if you do not need to use the staircase and the work area stays clear. Using the stairs during work is strongly discouraged. We agree access arrangements before starting.
When can we use the stairs again?
It depends on the chosen coating. Dry to the touch does not mean fully cured. We provide guidance on first use and the period of careful use based on the specific product.
What about dust and smells?
We use protective sheeting and vacuum extraction, but sanding still creates dust. We usually use water-based paints and varnishes, as well as natural wax oils. Ventilation and application conditions depend on the chosen product.
Do you work outside Novi Sad?
Our main area is Novi Sad and its surroundings, followed by Vojvodina. We can travel to Belgrade and elsewhere in Serbia for larger projects, with travel costs agreed separately.
Can you restore just part of a staircase?
Yes, for example only the upper surfaces of the treads, if the condition and desired result allow it.
Do you work on commercial or outdoor stairs?
We take commercial projects where we can work uninterrupted during the day and stair access can be closed. Outdoor staircases are assessed individually.
